Matter seems to be solid but it is composed of protons, electrons, and neutrons. And the gaps between these subatomic particles.

Everything is composed of particles that have spaces between them. Even us. We’re made up of solids, liquids, and gas. And the space between those atoms and molecules.

I think it is the spaces between the particles that link us together. The spaces allow for us to be interconnected. If we were completely solid, we wouldn’t be alive. The spaces between make us alive and allow us to connect.

It reminds me of how Mary Louise paints green in her paintings. She puts a lot of different colors in the green like she’s painting all the bits that make up green. Even the spaces in between.

Particles. I think that’s all we are. And the spaces in between.
